News Corp launched the US digital version of the popular UK tabloid in 2020 and the site has seen steady growth since then, ranking twentieth in the US and 26 in the world.

The New York Times’ decline in traffic may be at least in part reflective of declining interest in Wordle. The BBC recently reported on Google trends data indicating that interest in the viral word game is currently a third of the level at its peak. The remaining top ten sites fell by between 7% and 35% compared to April 2022. Last month’s second placed site, CNN, dropped down to third, changing places with MSN which resumed its previous second place position. The New York Times (569.4 million visits) and Mail Online rounded out the top five.
