The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and several compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards for their work.
Before Toto was formed The members of the band did session work for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all played on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for not having hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from the group The group held auditions for the new frontman. The band chose guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in the year 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The band went through old tapes and recordings to create the unique record. The album was well-received by fans and Toto embarked on an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour and an interview with the band.
